Attic numerals, also known as Attic numeration or Athenian numerals, were a system of numerical notation used in ancient Athens. This system was distinct from the more widely known Greek numeral system that used alphabetic characters to represent numbers. Instead, Attic numerals utilized a combination of specific symbols and a base-10 counting method.
