Sydney Brenner

Sydney Brenner (1927–2019) was a renowned South African biologist, best known for his groundbreaking work in the field of molecular biology and genetics. He played a significant role in the development of the use of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) as a model organism for studying developmental biology and neurobiology.
