Samuel T. Durrance is a former NASA astronaut and a physicist. He was born on March 19, 1943, in New York City. Durrance flew on two Space Shuttle missions, STS-67 in 1995 and STS-83 in 1997, both of which focused on scientific research. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics from the University of Florida and later obtained a Master’s and a Ph.D.
