The Institut de radioprotection et de sûreté nucléaire (IRSN) is the French Institute for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety. It is a public scientific and technological establishment under the French Ministry of Environment, Energy, and the Sea. IRSN is responsible for assessing nuclear safety and radiation protection for both the general public and workers in the nuclear industry.
