Glycosidic bond

A glycosidic bond is a type of covalent bond that links a carbohydrate (sugar) molecule to another molecule, which can also be a carbohydrate or a different type of molecule. This bond forms between the anomeric carbon of a sugar and a hydroxyl group of another molecule through a condensation reaction, where a water molecule is released.
