Ernst Lecher was an Austrian physicist known for his work in the field of electromagnetic waves and resonant circuits. He is perhaps best known for inventing the Lecher line, a type of measurement device used to study the properties of electromagnetic waves, particularly for measuring frequency and wavelength. The Lecher line consists of two parallel conductors and can be used to analyze transmission lines and various other electrical properties.
