Crown gear

Crown gear, also known as a "crown wheel" or "crown gear wheel," is a type of gear that has teeth cut into a pitch circle that is at right angles to the axis of the shaft. It is typically used in applications where a change in the direction of motion is required, such as in bevel gear systems.
